TriangGULO (Chapter 14)

The next day, I expected that she'll do the same thing as last time. She'll left home so early. I wonder, why does she leave home so early? I guess the whole world is still sleeping when she leaves. And another question that triggered my mind, why isn't she staying at our house? Is she leaving to someone's house? Or, is she staying to my father's? I summed up the things and it came across my mind, is she having an affair with my dad?
Paranoia. It strikes me again. I'm going beyond my wild imaginations. Yan ang problema ko, masyadong wild mag-isip. Kaya ang ending, lagi akong nasasaktan. My expectations are too high and it results to failure and disappointment.
I didn't went out to have my breakfast because Lorraine already prepared it. After taking it, I prepared for school. While taking my clothes on, I suddenly remembered that today is the announcement of the members who will go to the play. All of us were not able to see each other's performances because the performance is per group inside a small room. I hurried to make it at school at an early time.
I made it to school early. I rushed to the theater room. Nadaanan ko yung bench kung sa'n laging nakaupo si Lorraine. I tried to slow down but she's not there. I was amazed because I'm pretty sure that if she has time to stay there, she'll surely stay there. But today, I don't know why.
As I enter the theater room, I saw that Lorraine was there but she didn't know I was there. I came near to her. Kaya pala di niya narinig ang pagbukas ng pinto. May earphones siya and her eyes are closed.
Again, ginulat na naman niya ako.
"Himala. You're early today." Still, her eyes are closed. Head resting on the chair and arms crossed.
"Ba't dito ka tumambay?" I seated beside her.
"Ngayon ang announcement. And not only announcement, it was said that they will be playing our performances and all of us will decide kung sino ang pupunta sa play."
"Ows?" Pansin ko, tuwing kasama ko siya, di pwedeng di ako magugulat sa kanya.
She opened her eyes but still remained on her position, "Vice president ka diba? Ba't di mo alam?" Both of us paused. She quickly said, "May hidden cam. Di natin alam. And like what I've said earlier, we're all going to watch it." She sat straight but looking far away. I wished that I was the "far away" she's looking to.
Later on, the time has come. We all watched the video. Most of us laughed but Lorraine and Luke's is different. They acted Romeo and Juliet and it was breathtaking. All of us cried and it was because of Lorraine's acting.
Theirs was the last. I'm referring to Luke and Lorraine. After watching, Mrs. Aquino made a count for the group who's deserving. And everyone voted for Lorraine.
"So I guess I'll dismiss you now. Lorraine and Luke please see me in my office on your dismissal time. Ok, bye for now!" and we all left the room.
I went to our classroom alone. Sad because I really wanted to go to the play. I've been dreaming to watch the play live but then, it's not meant for me.
Hours passed by and my mind was still on that play. It was my first time na hindi isipin si Lorraine. Until dismissal time, I saw Lorraine went out immediately. I'm sure that she'll go to Mrs. Aquino's office.
I went straight home. Of course, I took a ride with Manong Johnny. When I was at home and went to my room, I saw Lorraine standing in front of my room.
"Buti andito ka!" Kahit papaano, napawi ang kalungkutan ko. Pero andun pa rin naman.
"Aalis din ako agad," may dinukot siya sa pocket niya. I never expected that she's giving her ticket to me. "Sa'yo na yan. Di ko kailangan yan."
"Paano ka?" still not taking the ticket from her right hand.
"Alam ko na ang Phantom of the Opera. So bakit ko pa papanuorin yan?" she grinned and handed me the ticket.
She left me puzzled. I was standing there like a beggar holding the ticket by my left hand. Later on, I smiled by myself and chuckling like crazy.
